Connecticut Department of Transportation's Groton-New London Airport (GON) caters to business and leisure travelers. New this year, the airport offers regularly scheduled flights to the public between Groton-CT, Long Island-NY and Nantucket-MA for the summer season. Travel can be booked either on-line, or by contacting local travel agents or through popular on-line search engines. Private charter flights can be arranged for near and distant destinations,too. The airport also provides individualized flight instruction for the private pilot and commercial pilot licenses, as well as water crash survival training for both flight crew and the public. An easily accessible airport for those arriving in, or departing from, the Mystic area, Groton-New London Airport is conveniently located ten minutes from Mystic and within 30 minutes from popular visitor attractions including the beachs, museums and casino resorts.Car parking is free.
